Android Developer (AI-Native)
We are looking for an Android Developer who builds polished Kotlin/Jetpack Compose apps and ships faster using AI-assisted development. You will work on client-facing mobile products while leveraging tools like Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and modern LLM workflows to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. This role follows US business timings and includes night-shift collaboration — please apply only if you are comfortable working these hours.
What you will do
- Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android SDKs
- Integrate REST APIs, push notifications, and third-party SDKs into production apps
- Use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to prototype, refactor, and ship features efficiently
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews with the team
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams on end-to-end delivery during US time zones
- Participate in standups, reviews, and client calls aligned to US business hours (night shift for India-based candidates)
- Profile and optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery impact
- Stay current with Android platform updates, Play Store guidelines, and AI tooling trends
What we are looking for
- 3+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android Studio, and Material Design guidelines
- Experience publishing apps to the Google Play Store
- Comfort using AI development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar)
- Solid understanding of MVVM/MVI, Coroutines/Flow, and mobile architecture patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD for Android (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
- Comfortable and available to work US timings, including night shift hours when collaborating with US clients and team members
- Clear understanding that this is not a standard 9–5 India daytime role — overlap with US Eastern/Pacific hours is required
